Architectural

What types of exterior modifications can I make to my home without requiring approval?
 All exterior modifications or improvements must be approved through the community association's architectural control process. Please complete the architectural request form before beginning any work.

Where do I find the architectural modification request form?
 The architectural modification request can be completed in TownSq under Tools > Architectural Review.

What's the process for submitting an application? How long does approval take?
 Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by the Board of Directors to ensure compliance with the association's architectural guidelines. You can expect a response within 30 days of submission. Please provide as much detail as possible with your application to avoid delays.

What is the status of my application?
 If you haven't heard from the Community Manager or Board of Directors within 30 days of submission, please submit a request via TownSq.

Board Meetings

How do I find out when the next Board meeting takes place?
 Board meeting dates and times are posted in the News and Events section of TownSq. If you've registered your email address, you'll also receive meeting details via email in advance.

Where can I find copies of the most recent meeting minutes?
 Meeting minutes are posted in the Documents section of TownSq.

Common Area Maintenance

What does the Association maintain and what am I responsible for?
 Homeowners are responsible for maintaining their property from the curb back. The association maintains parks, trails, ponds, common areas, and the community entrance.

How do I report a maintenance issue in a common area?
 Please submit a request via TownSq and include a picture with as much detail as possible. You'll be able to track the status of your request through TownSq.

How do I get a mailbox key?
 Please contact your local United States Postal Service office for instructions on obtaining your mailbox key, or contact a locksmith if your home was purchased as a resale.

Compliance

I just received a violation notice. Who can I talk to about it?
Covenant violation inquiries can be directed to our Compliance Department at compliance@goodwintx.com. Additional contact information is available on the notice you received.

How do I report an issue with a neighbor's home?
 Please submit a request via TownSq and include a picture with as much detail as possible.

When does your compliance driver come through our community?
 The schedule varies, but compliance drivers typically visit the community bi-weekly. Spot inspections are also conducted.

Is there a list of rules I can give to my tenant?
A copy of the community's Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions can be found by visiting www.goodwintx.com and entering "Leander Valley Vista" in the "Find My Community Page" field at the top right corner.

How do I pay my assessment?
 We offer three convenient payment options:

  • Login at https://app.townsq.io/login
  • Select your account from the top of your feed

Payment fees: Credit/debit cards incur a $1.50 convenience fee plus 3.5% of the payment amount. E-checks incur a $1.50 convenience fee.

Option 3: Bank Bill Pay
 Use the PO Box address above and include your account number and association code (AVVC) in the memo.

What is my property code?

When is my assessment due?
 Assessments are $120 and due on the first of each month. A late penalty is applied on the 11th if payment is not received by the 10th.

Why does my account show a negative number?
 A negative number indicates you have a credit balance.

 Your assessment covers the association's operating expenses, including utilities, landscaping, amenity maintenance, insurance, and more.

 Your account number is on your billing statement or coupon book. If you can't locate it, contact Customer Service at 855-289-6007.
